Orcem has filed for a Use Permit with the City of Vallejo to transform the General Mills site into a state-of-the-art green cement mill.
Orcem uses recycled materials to manufacture a cement supplement called Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS), commonly known as “green” cement, due to its environmental qualifications. GGBFS’s production requires much less energy to produce, and as a result, significantly reduces emissions in comparison to traditional portland cement.
As our project moves forward, we want to hear from you, answer your questions, listen to your concerns and create the opportunity to incorporate your input. So please, take a moment to provide us with your questions, comments or concerns.
